- זְרִיבָהf. (זָרַב) flowing over, boiling over, scalding. Lev. R. s. 7, end (ref. to Job 6:17, applied to the deluge) זְרִיבָתָם לחלוטיןוכ׳ their scalding (destruction by hot water) was final (there is no resurrection for them); Gen. R. s. 28, end; Y.Snh.X, 29b bot. (cmp. חֲלוּטִין a. צְמִיתוּת).
